The PMQ 2022 Pizza Power Report has recognized Mountain Mike’s Pizza by promoting us five spots up the list.
We’re #16 on the report based on 2020 annual sales. Among Quick Service pizza chains, the brand’s impressive spot on the top-50 list pushed even higher – to #12. Mountain Mike’s also placed high on the list of chains with the fastest per unit growth, landing at #11 on the annual report.
All this before we even announced our record-breaking 2021 sales.

The pizza segment is booming. According to PMQ’s 2022 projection, the pizza business is expected to skyrocket to more than $141 billion globally next year – with the United States owning nearly a third of the worldwide pizza marketplace. Mountain Mike’s continues to climb the ranks in the U.S. as a leader in the pizza space and is considered one of the hottest franchises of 2021, which has been a banner year for the brand. Over the previous 24 months, Mountain Mike’s has reported impressive same store sales growth and total system sales. Numerous multi-unit development deals are currently in motion as Mountain Mike’s grows its restaurant count in eight states throughout the Western U.S.
